Blogtoberfest Day 7 and A Terrifying Experience

First off before I begin with todays post, I have something to get off my chest.
Sometime ago when Internet Explorer did an update it totally quit working on my computer.

So I switched to Firefox. I am now having issues with it. When I go to post an image the link won't work and the box doesn't open. Same thing if I try to right click on an image and save as, the box won't open. Grrr.

I have Flock and that is the only way I can work on my blog. I guess I should count my blessings and be glad that between the 3 I can at least accomplish something.

Next on the agenda, I was out in the back 40 pulling weeds and trying to make a little dent in the mess out there. I was bending over by the air conditioner unit and turned sideways and saw a rattle snake all curled up. He looked like he was dead, he had his head down and looked kind of flat. He was as big around as my arm, I swear.

I moved off several feet and continued working. Several minutes went by and no activity, meanwhile my skin crawling every time I thought about him or looked over.
Still not moving, oh okay he has got to be dead. I will tell DS when he comes out and he can figure out what to do with him.

Bob opened the back door and I said look out there is a snake over here, I think he is dead. About that time the sucker stretched out and crawled up under the air conditioner. OMOG! I hope he doesn't have any friends. We went looking for sulfur but couldn't find any. We put out some moth balls but I am going to call Animal Control in the morning. This guy looks like he means business.

Enough about the snake, I hope I don't have nightmares tonight, I have been having some strange dreams lately anyway.

I have given up on getting good pics of the Glory Bee Trio of which I have only finished two into ornaments. I don't really like the result and may still do them another way. Any how I scanned them and they at least don't look faded out.

Yes, I am definitely going to have to do something different with these.

Blogtoberfest day 6

There is not much going on today. Me and Abbey just hanging out. Took this picture of her, she just woke up from her cat nap.

I did a little stitching today on the Needle Book exchange for Tiny Treasures Too. I really need to get a head start as it has quite a ways to travel. I am hoping I like the way it will look, the colors are kind of strange.

I have been searching and looking at the different tutorials for Needle Books. I have never actually finished one and am kind of debating on which way to go. Guess I will stitch the design first and then go from there.

I finished two of the Glory Bee Trios but got to feeling a little bad and I am going to put off doing the third as I was sure I would mess up if I kept going.

I took pics but don't like the way they turned out. The fabric I stitched them on is a dark khaki and the colors were washed out. Guess I will try again before I post pictures. Abbey and I are having a bad hair day, lol.

Tomorrow is another day.

Busy Days and Late Nights

I think it is about time for an update.

It has been a hard time on my job, seems like I am there more hours than I am at home even though I am only scheduled to work 4 days a week. The weeks have been overlapping and I have worked two seven day stretches with only one day off in between. Three days one day off three days one day off.

I have still managed to stitch and finish a few autumn and Halloween things. I have stitched Glory Bees Halloween Trio and have the perfect fabric picked out for the backing. Just need to get every thing together and finish them up into ornies. I added beads to spruce them up a little and I like the way they turned out.

I finally finished my JBW Pumpkin. I found the glitzy fabric at Hancock's. I thought it would suit the design better than the orange print that I had originally selected. I took Yoyo's advice on that as too much orange being over kill.

I have been shopping and buying ribbons, buttons, fabric and stickers. Hobby Lobby had their 50% off sale on Halloween and Thanksgiving. I bought a cute little basket for my Ornaments and I found the cute little pumpkin jar.

I finished the Pumpkin into an ornament. I thought about whether to add a hanger or not and decided against it. It will look cute in my basket. I added a green bow and a cute sunflower button. to give it some color.

I am taking a break and than back to finishing up these goodies.
PS I think the images are clickable.
