My July Sings Finish

I decided to finish the birds as a tuck ornament. I think the green fabric suits them well. It wasn't too hard to do once I figured out how to layer the pieces.
I have been wanting to stitch some tuck pillows but couldn't get my sewing machine working. I couldn't find the instruction book that came with the machine.

I bought it over a year ago and haven't used it. We have moved since and I have no idea where it is stashed. I just hate to search for something so I got the machine out and after not too long a time,( Had to figure out how to thread the crazy thing) I had a good looking stitch. Seemed good to be sewing something again albeit a small something.

I used to sew all my own clothes and when cabbage patch dolls were the rage, I made over 200 of them and sold them at the market. Jeez it has been so long ago, I don't have a clue as to how I did them.

Any how there will be no more hand sewing to finish up my stitching.

I also have the same problem - bought a sewing machine a few years back (never used it). I want to start quilting and got it out storage this week (without the instruction book). Now I have to go and do a search online for instructions as I am a total novice with sewing :)

You may want to look online at the company's website- they may have instructions there or a way to order some.. I know how you feel as I am a learning seamstress as well!

Lovely finish, looking forward to seeing what else you do with your sewing machine.
