I'm Back From Hiding

I really haven't been hiding, I have been feeling like crap. I have had a sore throat forever. It gets no better or no worse. I have no energy and I have no desire to do anything but lie around. I manage to make it to work every day and come home to flop down in front of the TV until time to go to bed.

My house is a mess, my stitching is being ignored except for deadlines that have to be met. I have the weekend off and spent yesterday in bed . I was so dizzy when I stood up, I was afraid I would fall.

I started on Peppermint Lane by LHN. I have been wanting to start stitching on this one, but wanted to get my swaps finished first. It is going to be a fun stitch, I love the design and the colors are gorgeous. I am getting quite a collection of Crescent Colors. I am really looking forward to getting this one finished. I also have in my stash, Heart of America and Sweet Treats. I went kind of wild when we went to The Stitch and Frame Shop in Rock Hill this last week.

Now on to other news. I haven't shown a picture of Leigh's scissor fob that I made for her in the Tiny Treasures Exchange. I stitched it on a piece of 28 count fabric that I dyed with Strawbery Kool Aid. I wanted to try the new DMC satin floss and found this yummy shade of pink. I don't think I would like to stitch a larger project with it though as it tends to fray and fuzz up. The design is a freebie from My Aunt's Attic.
I also sent her a pair of pink scissors, a magnetic poster from South Carolina. and a praline. Which is a really sweet candy made with pecans and brown sugar. I really enjoyed stitching my first scissor fob.

In other news, I only had one person sign up for my PIF. If anyone is interested I will extend it for a couple more days.

I am beginning to feel a little dizzy again, so I am off to lie down for a bit. I have to be at work at 4:30 A.M. in the morning.

Love the fob. Also love the Peppermint Lane design, but have resisted the urge to purchase it. Hope you feel better and can stitch really soon!
