Blogtoberfest Day 5

Five days of October have passed by and two days of my week off from work.

I am not planning on going anywhere, just resting and enjoying some free time.

It has been raining since last evening and I really wanted to get out in the back yard and do some major work. It has been sorely neglected. Just got the lawn mower from the repair shop and DS and I did the front yard Friday. One good thing we won't have to water the lawn. lol.

Take One My Pretty

When I saw this Tin Topper I just knew I had to stitch one. It is by Plum Street Samplers. It is my first Tin Topper and my first time stitching on 40 ct. I really like it, I have fallen in love.

I did a real simple finish.I used a green Altoid tin so I there was no painting involved. I glued ribbon around the tin and used sticky black felt for the bottom. Oh yes, there are a lot of firsts on this. I actually made the twisted cord though I think it would have been better to use more than two strands of floss.

Everyone have a happy stitching day,

Funny design and a great finish! I have never tried to do a tin, although I would like to try it one day.
